Sinthi wants to work as a voice for women in parliament
Model and activist Farzana Sinthi, who is seeking nomination for the reserved women's seat, has expressed her determination to work as the real voice of women by going to parliament. She said that the reserved women's seat is a place where there is an opportunity to work for women's rights regardless of party affiliation.
She said these things at a press conference organized at the National Press Club on Saturday.
Farzana Sinthi said, "The July Movement is not the property of any single party or group. This movement has been successful only because of the participation of ordinary people against discrimination. Political narrow-mindedness is being created around this movement. I want to resist by going to parliament. I want to go to parliament as a representative of the people. I want to raise the voices of all classes of people, including workers and expatriates, along with women."
Sinthi said that she was not directly associated with any party during her student life. She has worked as a human rights activist. If BNP gives her nomination, she will work for the country and the people. The love of the people of the country is her biggest strength.
At that time, she said that a video regarding 50 thousand taka has gone viral. This is the official fee for the nomination form. It is not an unethical transaction.
