Educational Qualifications and Experience

Must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electrical and Electronics Engineering from a recognized university or institution. Minimum CGPA should be 3.50 out of 5.00 or 2.50 out of 4.00 in the grading system. Minimum Second Class or Division should be in the conventional system. Third Class or Division is not acceptable at any level.

Must have at least 18 years of experience in the government sector (Government/State-Owned Institution/Autonomous Organization), out of which at least three years should have experience in a senior management position (National Pay Scale Grade-4 or above) in the power sector.

In the case of a state-owned company, at least 18 years of experience, out of which three years should be in the position of Deputy General Manager or equivalent senior manager.

In the private sector, at least 18 years of experience, out of which three years should be in a senior management or leadership position in a reputable organization. The responsibilities should be mentioned in detail in the experience certificate.

At least five years of experience in power generation or transmission or distribution related work.

Age limit

Minimum 45 years and maximum 60 years as on April 16, 2026.

Appointment period

Initially, a contract appointment will be given for three years (maximum age limit 65 years). Renewable for two more terms of three years based on merit.

Salary and allowances: 1 lakh 49 thousand taka. In addition, house rent, two festival bonuses and Baisakhi allowance. Income tax will be borne by the company.
